Hopefully, the company can send out a server-side fix in short order.

The Chromecast (2nd gen) and Chromecast Audio are two of Google’s oldest devices, with both announced at the same event in September of 2015.

Yeah those are likely considered dead and abandoned by google, they will probably not give a shit about it.

Aren't they located in Italy, the Shithole that keeps trying to outlaw all VPNs and/or force them to provide backdoors and identifiable customers? They can only be stopped so many times before they succeed...

I mean, "serverless computing" has always only meant that it's "serverless" for the customer who buys the compute power in the sense that they don't have to bother the slightest with the architecture or managing it. Not really anything to reveal there...
