I’ve looked at porn before and I have uh, wandered across some crazy stuff where I’m like okay, I did not want to see this… I always wonder if these folks are being accused of finding that stuff, but if they are saving it on their computer it seems weird… I don’t really save porn on my computer anyways… unless I find something super classy or sexy maybe, but even then most likely not, and if it’s that classy it’s probably not even technically ‘porn’….. anyways, Just thinking out loud I guess….quietly

Part of me wishes there was a legitimate way to report questionable porn that didn’t involve morality police who think all porn is inherently bad….. (edit: no part of me wants that job lol, just to be clear, oh god those poor workers who have to do that shit)

But also, why does it always seem to be these guys who are extremely vocal about being anti porn and super puritanical… Jesus h Christ… literally…

Makes me wonder about the current speaker of the house…

I know someone that works somewhere (involved with police enforcement) and there are people that have to review content for CP as part of their job. He said they are instructed to do things like turn the screen sideways, turn down the sound, and so on so that it's not as scarring. I think after X hours of doing such work, they have to Y hours of counseling.

I told him there is no way in hell I have the the wiring where I could do such a job, though I'm thankful someone is able to do it. If I did have to do such a job, I'd probably have to have like 24 hours of counseling for 1 hour on the job...

I imagine the job for private companies is just as daunting, but my guess is that it has less oversight to protect the worker from psychological damage...

Honestly this is one of the few examples of what would be a good use case for AI.
