Why not release just his threats?
In that situation you're still admitting the threats have power over you; by releasing the photos yourself, you both out the person as fucking scum and demonstrate that their threat was completely impotent, delivering a one-two punch to the ego.
I'm sure that your future employer will care a lot about the difference while running the most progressive and sex positive background check ever.

It isn't an effective threat to employers, but it does work on friends and family.
An employer who looks up that stuff and has a problem with it needs to get treatment for their mental illness. They are unwell.
Still doesn’t stop them being used against you. If they’re published by “choice” I think that’s easier on the soul, if still painful.
I don't get it, either. It's like being threatened to get shot and releasing the threat and shooting yourself.
That analogy only works if your nudes being out there hurts or at least bothers you. Maybe she doesn't care or planned to do it herself someday?
You take away all the power if you follow through with releasing them yourself.
