These days, most of the voices saying they'll leave a centrist presidential candidate hanging are fake. BlueSky got brigaded by fake posters with this message for about five days a little bit ago.

I voted for Jill Stein in 2016 and regret it. I don't think I'm the only one. I think that next time around, we'll have a stronger primary strategy and fewer walkouts if we fail.

I voted Stein in 2016 and don't regret it. I hope Clinton regrets my vote though.

Jill Stein?

The magician that magically appears before every election and then magically disappears again afterward?

Jill Stein?

The person who, in the 2024 election, got more votes than any other 3rd party candidate and still only received a whopping HALF OF A SINGLE PERCENT of the total votes cast, confirming that no 3rd party candidate stands the remotest chance in hell of winning a presidential election?

THAT Jill Stein?

Yeah, you should be ashamed of your wasted vote.

I don't feel it was wasted, because I wasn't voting to win. I also didn't vote for Stein in 2024, so those numbers don't matter.

In 2016, I voted for Stein to send a message to Clinton, saying "You could have won if you were a better candidate. Here's a person willing to spend the effort to go to the polling booth, but would rather vote for a candidate with no chance of winning than vote for you."

I hope that's true. But at the very least, letting the narrative get normalized on this community will not be a positive contributor, so as long as these ghouls fill up comment sections, I'll be part of the miserable work of telling the Nazi supporters to fuck off.
