Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

While this is alarming, it seems like such an obvious attempt to distract us from the people in Texas who died from the Republican party's inaction. As well as the revelation that the Epstein suicide video was edited

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 24 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Wait is there proof of that now?

[–] wildbus8979@sh.itjust.works 63 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well there's and entire minute missing, and the video was released with Adobe Premiere metadata....

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I read that wasn’t even epsteins cell

[–] wildbus8979@sh.itjust.works 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The video shows a totally different cell than the original news pictures yeah.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world -4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So what was the point of it? And why does it matter if was edited?

[–] wildbus8979@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It matters because that missing minute is when he actually died. One minute he's alive, the next he's dead.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean if it’s not even his cell, what’s the point of the video

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The usual: buffoonish attempts at distraction.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I completely agree. My confusion is with the people who are being critical of the coverup still seem to be missing the point that the video is irrelevant in the first place.

The video may as well have been of Disney world. I don’t know why anyone cares about the edit and I don’t believe all the people talking about the edit are complicit in the coverup.

[–] al_Kaholic@lemmynsfw.com -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ah the only explanation is you're on the video killing Epstein. Have fun in prison why does the truth matter?

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I’m saying if the video isn’t even of his cell, what’s the point of the video and if it’s edit? Who cares about some random cell?

They took money meant for emergency infrastructure and checks notes gave it to cops.

Pretty sure it's to distract from Alligator Auschwitz as well.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 13 points 22 hours ago

If it's a legitimate threat, it's not a distraction. It's called "flooding the zone" and it's intentional, but it's mean to overwhelm us in general with the sheer amount of bullshit he spews.

But don't make the mistake that this is a distraction. He's opening a path to strip anyone he dislikes of citizenship and exile them to a foreign death camp. This is deadly serious and should not be ignored.

Murder. Epstein was murdered and Bill Barr knows the details.
