I’m going to do an experiment where I stop voting and see if that has any consequence. Because me voting regularly is what got me into this mess.

Just be sure to avoid any possibility of being reminded of politics ever again in your life, that way the crushing doubt and guilt don't have an opportunity to reach you. I recommend a hermitage, but a REAL hermitage, not one of those lame 'Monastery+1' places. A pillar in the desert, or a cave near a source of honey and locusts.
