I'm American and I don't even wanna be here. Honestly I'd love to be in Canada but for the weather. If Canada were to annex where I live (DC) I'd be 100% in favor of it, America treats us like its bitch anyway.

All the people praising Luigi say "this does nothing" when someone suggests an alternative to just shooting CEOs. Well you know what did nothing? Shooting Brian Thompson did nothing. United Health Group just hired a new CEO to run his division, and the real oligarchs continued looting the country even harder than before.
So no, they don't feel threatened. The top oligarchs like Elon barely even registered it. If you wanna know what they're afraid of, look at where they spend money - buying politicians and opposing attempts to regulate them and break up their monopolies. Lucky for them there is no well funded lobby for consumers, people denied health care, or even the poor and middle class generally. Tell the next Luigi to work on that if you really wanna scare these people.
It's very hard to avoid buying stuff on Amazon even if we hate them. This provides a bit of extra motivation.
When you have a 25% tariff, additional tariffs really don't matter.
That's not so much a murder stab as a flesh stab. To spell that out, it can be a metaphor for:
- "If you're a trans woman you must use the mens room, or if you're a trans man you must use the women's room"
- "My trans child is dead to me"
- "We're going to remove trans soldiers from the military"
- "We're going to spend your taxpayer dollars to actively remove anything in government that recognizes the existence of trans people"
- "We're going to spread hate against you to win elections"
The internet. It led to the following:
- Good social change occurred very rapidly from the 1990s-2010s, causing highly motivated pushback from those who didn't like the changes
- Rising wealth inequality caused by tech billionaires increased incentives and capability for a small number of extremely wealthy people to seize control of media and political power centers
- Foreign dictator governments became more able to more easily spread pro-dictator propaganda
- Media became more decentralized, leading to some good things but also the hijacking of our psychology to spread fear and disgust for the sake of grabbing attention
Elon's blaming DDOS. You know I heard that the people who bulit Twitter did a great job figuring out how to handle those. Gosh, I wonder what ever happened them?
