We always have been.

There is a reason no one hates Canada.

If it was a party, we were just quietly cool, while our neighbour got drunk, screamed at the top of their lungs, pissed in the fish tank and randomly punched people.

Articles like this are pissing me off. They keep glossing over the reasons.

One line on "Meanwhile, he has angered Canadians with his many public comments about making their country the "51st state"."

We had Tarriffs the last time that chunderhead was president, and it didn't stop us

How about

  • Threatening our sovereignty
  • Declaration of financial war on us
  • Disrespecting us as a country and as a people
  • Betraying our relationship
  • The threat of being disappeared if we go there
  • Constant belittlement of Canada from Americans
  • A complete and total lack of understanding literally anything about Canada by most Americans

We have supported the US time and time again, even when we probably shouldn't have. We got repaid for our loyalty by betrayal.

Fuck that country.

I can't believe no one has said The Thing yet.

The creature effects are so good, it holds up today.

Once you see the pterodactyls, you can never unsee them.

I have a buddy who won't switch his streaming box because he thinks his in-laws will be too confused by a different button layout on the remote.

I front-end mpv with smplayer.

It's enough for my purposes.

They themselves are contemptuous people and like someone who shares their contemptuous views.

The title of the article you posted is clearly not the same article given that it's not the same headline or the fact it's not even about Star Trek.

You're clearly a troll, and I'm done wasting time with you.

I'm not sure why you're arguing. YOU linked to the article I responded to. Did you actually read it? And did you notice that the article now redirects to a different article than the one you linked to?

It really wasn't hard to find a different source that for the same article you originally posted. Many other sites reposted.

It's previously been reported that Haynes and Grahame-Smith's movie, produced by Simon Kinberg, "will serve as an origin story of sorts for the main timeline of the entire franchise

Literal prequel

An effective monopoly is not the same as actually being a monopoly.

As long as Steam doesn't act like a monopoly, there really is no problem. Yes, every PC game will likely end up there, but it's not like other game stores don't exist. Steam also doesn't have enforced exclusivity.

75% of respondents were senior managers of C-suite level, with 77% from studios with more than 50 employees.

I think it's laughably ironic that game PUBLISHERS are complaining about someone sitting in the middle, taking a % while contributing little.

However, it also noted that developers have started utilising other platforms including the Epic Game Store and the Xbox PC Games store.

Almost half of those surveyed (48%) have distributed a title to both stores, while 10% have used GOG and 8% have used Itch.io.

So... not a monopoly?

I am all for new Trek, but they need to fuck right off with the prequels.

Every studio: "What if we instead just go back and write ourselves into a corner and risk pissing people off by breaking continuity."

Edit: For example, I love SNW. But knowing what happens to half the cast removes a lot of the tension. I know putting Pike, Uhura, Scotty, Chapel, M'Benga or the ship in jeopardy will amount to nothing. Even Una. Because we know from "Those Old Scientists" that she later becomes the literal poster girl for Starfleet.

Edit 2: I have a lot of problems with Discovery, but one thing it absolutely did right was stop being a prequel and send the window of storytelling so far into the future that it can't cause story problems for other Trek.
