That doesn't change the logic I gave

Why? Lemmy seems great

I honestly hadn't noticed this. I see it in ICE though

What if there is a popular joke that relies on bad math that happens to be your question. Then the alignment is understandable and no indication of accuracy. Why use a tool with known issues, and overhead like querying six, instead of using a decent tool like Wolfram alpha?

I think your maths is off. If every, or most, popular films in 2010 were remade, I think you would be even more irritated.

I can't be bothered justifying this too much. Canada and Australia elections completely flipped in huge swings. India, China and Russia are a lot more chummy than they have been. Whole trade routes have changed like Brasil sending soy beans to China now. US is trying to directly punish Brazil with tariffs for sentencing an (rightwing) ex-President for an attempted coup. The US is bailing out Argentina to help the rightwing Presidents economic plan succeed. NATO, and hence europe, has had effects with Trump flip flopping. It's hard to imagine Trump's flip flopping and chaos talking about things like turning Gaza into resorts didn't contribute to Israel taking stronger militant action in the middle east. USAID was dropped with projected deaths around 14 million.

True, large corporations still have large effects on legislation in most countries, and your own personal groceries / interest repayments may not have changed that much but I think that's a bit different than trying to say there was little difference globally between these two people being in power

I'm not from the US nor do I live there.

This is the part of your comment I was replying to:

The majority of the world is not affected by your regime

I'd argue that's pretty inaccurate for the reasons listed in my comment.

I completely appreciate that you personally don't feel it all that much. To be blunt, I doubt most US citizens do either. To be blunter, nor do many citizens in countries that are thought of as authoritarian / lacking free speech like Russia or China.

Not affected is a bit of a joke. Trade, industries and Russia+Israel have effects in many countries and all would be pretty different under a Harris US government
