People tend to equate when a country or empire has the most territory as it being at it's height.
It's a vanity thing. He wants to see the words 'The United States of America was at it's territorial peak under President Donald Trump' echo through history.
He thinks if the US was at it's territorial height under him, that that would be an easy way to become the greatest president of all time. It's vanity.
Lots of great reasons that aren't the actual reason.
Greenland is very big on the map, and if it was apart of the United States then the US would look so big on the map.
Everyone says Trajan was the best roman emperor because the roman empire had the largest amount of territory under him, ergo if Greenland or Canada became part of the US then everyone would say the same thing about Trump.
That is the only reasoning behind this obsession.

I remember this was literally the question posed to us by an ethics professor 20 years ago. Now it's a reality.
A person with Down's can live a happy fulfilling life, but most parents would never choose to have a child with Down's if it could be born 'normal' instead. So we're essentially removing them from the gene pool and human race.
It's eugenics for sure. I'm not sure if it's unethical though. It's pretty complex.
