They are trying to eliminate liberal spaces online everywhere they can. The timing of their actions with regard to Elon purchasing and corrupting Twitter and Trump starting up his two minutes hate platform Truth Social are pretty suspect. It took a while for the liberals to leave Twitter and right as liberal influence on the site was at its lowest, they held the election. They solidified support for right wing media while destroying spaces for left wing media. And it worked.

Just heard an interview on BBC radio this morning with an American explaining that there are avenues for Trump to do this by abusing the line of succession. It sounds like they want to appoint him as Speaker of the House and then have the president and vice president abdicate.

I think the piece that has yet to be tested is elections. As of now, we still live under the pretense that we will have a fair election.

The case can be made that the voter suppression tactics from the far right are eliminating the possibility of a fair election. Or that Elon Musks involvement has led to fraud, or at least, massive corruption to our electoral system. But at the end of the day, we still have a collective idea that the fix for this is an election that will remove them from power.

When the midterms come, that will be the real test.
