Project 2025 expected protests to happen, which is so they can invoke the Insurrection Act. But I think they didn't expect the magnitude of push back, being that protests are organized all across every state in multiple locations, and are taking to the internet to pressure politicians. The flood the zone strategy has backfired, because it made a lot of leftists focus on the news and find out that 50501 exists and rally around it. Before, organized protests for every capitol has not happened in this country, until now. Reddit was their blind spot when they were stealing leftist social media. It took ONE r/50501 post to rise to r/popular and have everyone notice it (I KNOW those Reddit admins shadowbanned r/50501 from r/popular). How many other blind spots can we exploit? And how can we use our current leverage against their plans?

Twitter was replaced by this website for a couple of minutes. In the website, it states that it's purpose is to fight the fascism plaguing America, and lists helpful info/resources on protesting, OPSEC, and evil groups assisting with Trump's agenda. It even mentions 50501 and Tesla Takedown within the resources.

My post blew up on the Lemmy fediverse, and I think in order to convince the other side to question Trump, we should spread the anti-fascist film Don't Be A Sucker (watch here) everywhere. Start posting it on all 50501 socials, start posting/spreading it on Twitter, and maybe make it a chant so it gets on the news.

Not to be confused with Trump calling veterans "suckers" and "losers" (he also dodged drafting btw), which is unfortunate since I also would like to spread that Trump has no respect for veterans.

We should write 50501 on our signs so people know our name more, and to reinforce it so people can remember our name more often. It doesn't have to be the entire sign, could be off to the side. Thoughts? (I saw this suggested on the Reddit once)

I'd say that we should not mirror Reddit comments if our comments will not be mirrored to the subreddit. It will not allow for Lemmy users to give their thoughts on the sub's posts because it would be hard to find Lemmy comments. But afaik, the mirror only saves posts for 15 to 30 days? With that restriction, it might be slightly pointless to not mirror comments.

I would like to be able to cooperate with the people on Reddit, but it might not be a good idea to mirror Lemmy posts/comments either because Reddit might crack down on it. Hoping for screencaps though.

If you wanted to see comments from Reddit, you could go to Reddit directly or use a privacy front-end like Redlib. (If you are gonna use that, I'd recommend the LibRedirect add-on!)
