Side note, can someone with a Reddit account ask them to add my list to their document? I would like to create a decentralized network of information this way.

@enub22 I am just discovering this app, so I am learning. I would love to share your amazing list. Thank you for all your hard work on this. It's exactly what I was looking for.
(I am one of the social media organizaters for 50501 West Virginia. I will share this on reddit. Do you mind if I also share it on the 50501 Facebook pages, as well as for bluesky.)
I'd like to give you credit throughout the sharing process. Would you like me to use this username you have on here?
Do you think it'd be possible to add a link to the 50501.Chat Lemmy in your Reddit or Facebook pages as well? perhaps in the sidebar (or automod comment, if you have one)?
I think it's important to get people off of non-federated closed source platforms, as it's only a matter of time before they censor us to slow the movement down, but it's been hard to get people aware that the Lemmy exists.
We have a West Virginia sub-community here: https://50501.chat/c/West_Virginia
@Tangerine
Thank you for this, I will share this far and wide. Thank you! do you mind if I send you a personal message I have a couple of questions as I fumble along.
@Tangerine nevermind I don't know how to send a personal message on this platform.
My main question is, if that link to the West Virginia chat, is something that need to have like an admin, or anything like that. And if so are you that person/ creator? If so thank you!
The West Virginia community on our instance acts like a subreddit on Reddit (Lemmy itself functions like a federated Reddit clone, while Mastodon is like a federated Twitter).
I'm not the creator/admin of the this instance (that would be @admin@50501.chat), but I am a moderator for all of its communities.
I do not care what you do with it nor expect any credit. Go wild! Just have any user generated guide/list link back to it so we can get a info network going.
It's actually a really well written document. Pretty succinct but also extensive.
Is the link dead? u/MGSFFVII seems to be banned and I can't figure out where else to contact them.
