Hol up. I’m in Nova Scotia / Halifax and our thing is the Donair apparently. How many Canadian cities food claim is shaved meat wrapped in a wrap type thing?

😅It is, isn’t it!

Though I will say smaller groceries and type-specific groceries are aliving, thriving, and cheaper here in Nova Scotia

I don’t know that they’re more evil than Walmart. I think that’s probably not right but I don’t know enough to say for sure. They’ve just kinda, taken over. I’ll put it this way, I much prefer Atlantic Superstore (Loblaws) to Walmart (which I won’t even set foot in)

The reason they said Canada is because we have a brand here called No Name in yellow packaging doing that exact thing. It’s Loblaw’s store brand.

Not sure how common this is, but we ordered some clothing dyes from Walmart since they were the only place that had it, anyway they delivered it with Uber for some reason. It was fast but we didn’t know and also we hate Uber, so that sucked. Maritime Canada btw, not sure about the states. I assume for something big and in demand like that it’ll be normal box shipping. Good luck!

I am unaware of the current goings on, but tentatively yeah. Don’t force switch everyone to Wayland without taking care of accessibility features first.

I’ve been waiting for Wayland to take over since like 2011 or some ancient time like that. I’m just glad it’s finally got some traction tbh.

Yeah. Smaller instances for sure. I’m in Canada so I went with lemmy.ca and I’ve never had any issues and everything is just peachy 😌
