If it's gripping, and I don't get distracted by something else more gripping, I'll burn myself out binging everything. ADHD and OCD might play a role.

I think walking once a day, even if it's just for 15 minutes is one of the most essential things that most people can do.

Just bear in mind, you probably need it all: mobility, stretches, strengthening, cardio. I'd guess especially your core muscles and harmstrings are short and weak and gonna need some attention.

Yoga is incredible for me. And I find it easier to follow-through if I do it in a small group or 1-on-1 to just listen to whatever the person in front says and follow.

You all are forgetting that cats live on this planet too!

I mean, kinda hard to say without context. Are these aliens even compassionate? How smart are they and what's the reason for blowing it up? etc.

If I can't argue how fucking stupid it is to destroy the entire planet, I might become a fervent earth-destroying zealot and undermine their efforts through my utter incompetence.

The way I see it, no matter how bad things are, it won't distract me from the fact that every good thing matters. If not for me, if not for other people, then people who will come after. I'm only one person, but at least trying to do my part and being grateful for the things I have and receive, be it friends, a bed, food, a roof, a fun moment. And I can still accept the terrible state of so many things also.

Or in the words of David Graeber: "The ultimate hidden truth of the world is that it is something that we make, and could just as easily make differently."

Definitely up there. I didn't include it because others mentioned it already when I wrote this.

This is as meaningless as gently blowing smoke away with your mouth when your house is on fire.

Where are the sanctions? Where is the dispelling of diplomats? Where is the ending of Trade and military support? Where is the independent verification of genocidal Israeli narratives?

Cairokee - Dinosaur
This is the censored version (for political reasons) but it has the beautiful music video.

Edit: also not thaaat much of dance music

Apparently Pterodactyls aren't Dinosaurs :(

Also, I think this belongs here: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2025/oct/23/dinosaurs-asteroid-struck-research

Oh my god, his work is beautiful. Also, your consideration is sweet, and reasonable :)

That sounds really spot on! I'm feeling cozy thinking about it :)

Hey folks!

I'm having a strong urge lately to connect to themes of isolation and melancholy.

Anyone else enjoying this stuff?

Here's a list of some that I enjoy. Also, the strongest imagery I have for this is a little island on another planet, with meadows, a little wooden house, pools of water, etc. while seeing the star-studded universe above.

Here are some examples I enjoy

Ozamu Dazai's No Longer Human
Sandman TV show
Angus & Julia Stone - The Devil's Tears
The Eddie Vedder Album for Into the Wild
Everything about Invoker in the animated DotA movie
Boy - Fit Back In

Please share anything around these themes you enjoy, or your thoughts in general :)

(will update my list, if anything else comes to mind)

Thank you!
