Start small if you have trouble getting into it. If you know English, start with a Latin derived language.

Learning a language develops your brain in very weird ways, like nothing else can. There is some research which showed that bilingual or higher people had higher intelligence in general.

It can be done for self improvement and fun too.

Yeah, everything was harder back then

When people say "just be yourself" and criticize intentions, they confuse the glass box with the personality inside, and they take their own glass's cleanliness (what makes it transparent) for granted in c/showerthoughts@lemmy.world
