Chapter 3

This chapter is dedicated to the waiting process. I waited for over two weeks to see whether the number announced by email would be linked to the data record on the homepage.

A total of four weeks after I submitted the petition, I asked peti-secretariat@europarl.europa.eu whether the number I received by email would be linked to the data record on the homepage. Unfortunately, I still haven't received an answer after another four weeks.

So 8 weeks have passed and nothing more has happened than that I have received an email that a number has been assigned. This number is not yet in the data record and the petition is not yet public. The issue is dragging on.

Kapitel 3

Dieses Kapitel widmet sich dem Warteprozess. Über zwei Wochen habe ich es ausgehalten und gewartet, ob die per EMail angekündigte Nummer mit dem Datensatz auf der Homepage verknüpft wird.

Insgesamt vier Wochen, nachdem ich die Petition eingereicht habe, habe ich bei peti-secretariat@europarl.europa.eu nachgefragt, ob die Nummer die ich per EMail bekommen habe mit dem Datensatz auf der Homepage verknüpft wird. Leider habe ich auch nach weiteren vier Wochen noch keine Antwort darauf.

Es sind somit 8 Wochen vergangen wo noch nicht mehr passiert ist, als dass ich eine EMail erhalten habe, dass eine Nummer vergeben wurde. Diese Nummer findet sich bisher noch nicht im Datensatz und die Petition ist auch noch nicht öffentlich. Das Thema zieht sich.

Would be great to have all posts on the frontpage of mastodon.social automatical federated to a community in feddit.org
(Like rss feed.) So I don't have to use two Apps/Browser-Tabs and have all Information in one App/Browser-Tab.

Chapter 2

After 8 days I received an email telling me which number had been allocated for the petition. The whole thing came with PDF attachment in form of an official letter. (Speaking of letters, I find email useful again, because it's somehow suspicious when you constantly receive letters from Brussels..!?)

When I log on to the site, a week later the number (announced by e-mail) is still not assigned in the data record. I have no idea whether it will appear there at some point. I'll just have to keep waiting.

Kapitel 2

Nach 8 Tagen habe ich eine EMail erhalten, welche Nummer für die Petition vergeben wurde. Das Ganze noch mit einem PDF Anhang in Form von einem offiziellen Brief. (Apropos Brief, auch jetzt finde ich die Mail von Vorteil, weil es schon irgendwie suspekt ist, wenn man ständig von Brüssel Briefe erhält..!?)

Wenn ich mich auf der Seite einlogge, ist dort eine Woche später noch nicht die (per Mail angekündigte) Nummer im Datensatz vergeben. Keine Ahnung, ob die dort noch irgendwann erscheint. Bleibt nur weiter zu warten.

Chapter 1

There are currently two ways to submit an EU petition:

By letter: As a fan not to register everywhere, I think this is a great way. The only small disadvantage is that you can't check the status.

Online: You have to register, but it's really very straightforward. No identity card verification or anything else. It's as easy as registering with Lemmy.

I opted for the online option so that I could be notified of my progress by email.

After registering, you have to confirm the process with a registration email and you can get started.

You can switch the homepage to your national language. I only realised this when I had completed step 2, which would have saved a lot of translation time.

Step 1 The page shows an overview what a petition is for.

Step 2 To submit a petition, you have to answer eight questions with Yes and No. You can only continue if you have made the correct selection. (you do not have this hurdle when submitting by letter)

Here are the eight questions and the corresponding answer:

• Yes - Does the subject of your concern fall clearly within the field of activity of the European Union...?
• Yes - Are you a citizen or resident of the European Union, acting personally or on behalf ... in an EU Member State?
• No - Are you petitioning the European Parliament because you disagree with a decision...?
• No - Do you wish to create or lend your support to a European Citizens' Initiative...?
• No - Does the issue you wish to raise concern a possible case of maladministration ... which affects you personally?
• No - Does the issue of concern deal with cross-border problems caused by a potential breach of EU law...?
• No - Are you seeking information about the European Parliament or do you wish to communicate...?
• Yes - Does the issue of concern relate to the way in which EU legislation is possibly being wrongly implemented...?

Step 3 After answering these questions, you can submit your petition and upload attachments. As all formatting is deleted from the text, I have uploaded the formatted text again as a PDF attachment.

After the petition has been submitted, you will receive an e-mail with information. If you register on the homepage, you can see the petition, but without number.
Now you have to wait a few days until the number is assigned.

Kapitel 1

Es gibt aktuell zwei Möglichkeiten eine EU Petition einzureichen:

Per Brief: Als Fan sich möglichst wenig irgendwo zu registrieren finde ich das eine tolle Möglichkeit. Hat nur den kleinen Nachteil, dass man den Status nicht kontrollieren kann.

Online: Dazu muss man sich zwar registrieren, das geht aber wirklich sehr unkompliziert. Keine Personalausweis Verifizierung, oder Sonstiges. Es ist ähnlich einfach, wie sich bei Lemmy zu registrieren.

Ich habe mich für die Online Variante entschieden um den Fortschritt per E-Mail mitgeteilt zu bekommen.

Nach der Registrierung muss man den Vorgang mit einer Registrierungsmail bestätigen und kann loslegen.

Man kann die Homepage auf seine Landessprache umstellen. Dies hatte ich erst gemerkt, als Schritt 2 abgeschlossen war, was einiges an Übersetzungszeit erspart hätte.

Schritt 1 Zuerst bekommt man eine Übersicht angezeigt, wozu man eine Petition einreicht und wozu nicht.

Schritt 2 Zum Einreichen einer Petition muss man acht Fragen mit Ja und Nein beantworten. Nur wenn die korrekte Auswahl erfolgt ist, geht es weiter. (diese Hürde hat man beim Einreichen per Brief nicht)

Hier die acht Fragen und die zugehörige Antwort:

Schritt 3 Nach diesen Fragen kann man seine Petition einreichen und Anhänge hochladen. Da vom Text alle Formatierungen gelöscht werden, habe ich den formatierten Text nochmal als PDF Anhang hochgeladen.

Nachdem die Petition eingereicht ist, bekommt man eine Mail zur Info. Wenn man sich auf der Seite anmeldet hat erscheint die Petition, es ist aber noch keine Nummer vergeben.
Jetzt muss man ein paar Tage warten, bis diese Nummer vergeben wird.

Make L7e and L6e roadworthy, then you would have a segment for small cars that is better accepted.

Increase L7e maximum values from 90 km/h to 105 km/h, from 15 kW to 25 kW, from 450 (600) kg to 600 (900) kg, from 2 persons to 3 persons.

Increase L6e maximum values from 45 km/h to 55 km/h, from 6 kW to 9 kW, the rest of the restrictions are ok for this range (max 425 kg and 2 persons)

That's a good basis. With spanish knowledge you have a bonus in Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar, Italy and Switzerland.
