They are still going ai first on everything but customer support though. Any person who quits apparently won’t get the position filled by anyone else, whoever is left needs to try to use ai to make up for that person

Is this likely to affect investment on them? I ask because it’s surprising to me that they lose $5b a year and now can’t follow a path to proper profitability, unless I’m understanding not for profit wrong.

There are strong competitors out there spending less and I reckon that their top of the line AI is not much better than DeepSeek’s or Anthropic’s and DeepSeek alone is trained at a fraction of the cost. Why would someone continue investing on OpenAI ?

I understand that people need to be a bit more tech savvy to use Linux over windows but I reckon that KDE for example is really similar to windows (but actually much much better) and with the ai chatbots we currently have available I reckon any non-tech users would be able solve most of the issues with the chatbot’s help

And to recreate the species they’d need hundreds of them from different genetic material. Which means they’ll likely create a single one that will eventually die and costed billions of dollars.
