Sadly the opposite is happening right now for healthcare and research. Wages are low, housing is expensive. In the states wages are higher and housing is cheaper, its a no brainer. I've seen MASSIVE brain drain over the years, hopefully wages adjust or housing crashes or both but we definitely need to reassess our priorities.

Maybe they fired someone and want to replace them ASAP.
I was in the same situation 2 years ago. I loved my job but there was only so far I could progress before I knew I had to leave. The problem is I had to go back to school for a few years to get a certification to progress my career. I could have took the easy way and stayed in a comfortable position but I ended up going back to school to progress my career, I just didn't see another way to advance and felt like it was the only move to make.
Best thing to do is to come in one day with a better offer and ask them to price match. If they can't then thats it in my opinion.
As an e-scooter and bike user I don't get the push to limit bike lanes. The problem is on car congestion so the solution should be car-based.
awesome movie.
I'm glad I jumped ship back during the ban on 3rd party apps. That was it for me.
