I know the developer got disenchanted with the project and is focusing on his games. Didn't know there were technical issues. Is it easy to self host?

It's a toggle setting. I like it, it offers a standardized view of the destination while inviting the recipient to join and engage in the threadiverse.

I work with Windows and it's AWFUL. Did you know the taskbar is a fucking ELECTRON APP? Everything is so slow. And you have to go through hoops to do what you want, and that setting isn't available in the settings electron app, you have to go through these 5 screens to find the magic button that opens the win 95 style dialog box to set what you want. It's so So SO BAD.

You could combine both 1U fillers and install a 2U PC, which would be easier to find.

All of the above have web GUIs to install, configure, and maintain services and are commonly suggested for someone that is new to self hosting. What are their key differences? Their advantages and disadvantages for common use cases?
