Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

This is peripheral, in that it's mostly an anti-AI story. But look carefully at the story. What kind of culture applies sanctions on the victims of crime, not the perp?

American culture.

From an extremely legal take, there is no culprit, only suspects. For there to have been a culprit, a detective would have had to look into it and obtain enough evidence. This is called taking justice into your own hands, and it has caveats.

We can all assume the stereotypes of the persons who did this, and for all we know it was probably them, but going on witch hunts is just that.

I think the victim would have been better served by making the matter less about who created what and focusing on that the school seem to be consenting to pedophilia involving one of the victims to be recirculated and that they took action against her for taking matters into her own hands. Because there are much better legal grounds and evidence to support that claim, at least from what my Internet armchair lawyer degree can back up.

“That’s when I got angry,” she said during a disciplinary hearing, per the AP. The teenager admitted to attacking the student suspected of creating the AI photos and encouraging others to join her. As a result of her actions, the district sent her to an alternative school for 10 weeks.

The sheriff's office charged two boys iirc.

The sheriff's office charged the boy. But the school did nothing to the boys and suspended the student.

I'd guess, too, that the sheriff's office charged the boy only after the outrage blew up. The school sheriff, after all, just didn't believe her.

They suspended the girl for fighting. The school was investigating the boys for the AI nudes and it was the sheriff's office that took the investigation because that kind of thing is a crime, not just a minor school infraction. You are framing (and guessing) things so badly it's basically misinformation.
