Why do half the images look blurry and weird and ugly? Is it AI slop or something?

[–] jade52@lemmy.ca 7 points 6 hours ago

Yep it be the slop alright

[–] PonyOfWar@pawb.social 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Mixture of positions 2 (legs) and 3 (arms).

16, but my hands go over my junk. Just in case one of my dogs jumps up on to the bed in the middle of the night. It's saved me a couple of times now.

Sometimes 18 if the cat won't shut up...

#5

Does that make me a woman now according to the scrolls?

[–] bran_buckler@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

It’s been foretold!

I rotate through five or six of these all night long.

[–] Reference4054@lemmy.zip 5 points 10 hours ago

Number 3, but then i got old and knees would get sore if bent. So now I lay perfectly straight on my side, which somehow isn't represented here.

[–] Bonifratz@piefed.zip 4 points 8 hours ago

I think 3 comes closest, but I'm less curled up and generally sleep on my right side.

[–] cikano@lemmy.world 4 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

A mix of 2, 9 and 11, with a sprinkle of 5 as well

The best position for brain health isn't shown. Right side.

This is an except from the linked PDF:

Sleeping position

Optimizing one’s sleeping position is a possible behavioral manipulation that may enhance glymphatic flow. Body posture during sleep affects the direction of gravity relative to the cerebrovascular system, changing the resistance to blood and CSF flow in the brain (Martin-Du Pan et al., 2004). Lee et al. (2015) showed that glymphatic transport in rats is more effective in a right lateral than in supine or prone positions. Healthy humans with a preference to sleep in a right lateral position showed longer SWS time and shorter REM sleep time compared to individuals with a preference to sleep in supine position (Zhang et al., 2022b). In line with this, sleeping in a supine position was associated with reduced SWS and REM sleep time compared to non-supine positions in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (Alfaiate et al., 2023). Intriguingly, it has been shown that patients with MCI, AD, and Lewy body dementia spend more time with their head in the supine than in non-supine (i.e., prone or lateral) positions during sleep compared to healthy age- matched controls (Levendowski et al., 2019)

13 is temporary if I have bad gas and need to rip one. The rest of the night is just slow rotating like a rotisserie chicken until I pass out.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 hours ago

The Dutch rotisserie oven.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 4 points 4 hours ago

#3 with one cat on the shoulder and the other behind the knees.

[–] affenlehrer@feddit.org 3 points 10 hours ago

3 or 15 but always painful after a while

[–] A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago
[–] myrmidex@belgae.social 3 points 10 hours ago

9 is my optimal position, I'm asleep in 2 minutes tops. I tried sleeping on my back but that feels weird. I reckon that has to do with how I was positioned as an 80s baby

[–] TheWeirdestCunt@lemmy.today 3 points 10 hours ago

2,10,17 most nights but if my fiancée is visiting family then I tend to go with 7

[–] capuccino@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

I don't know. I'm always sleep so I can't see.

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 hours ago

All of them throughout the night.

[–] Iceman@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

I'm just gonna go with a yes here

[–] Zwuzelmaus@feddit.org 3 points 9 hours ago

I change back and forth between half of these.

1 usually with my cat sleeping between my legs

[–] madjo@piefed.social 2 points 7 hours ago

Depends, I alternate between 16, 2 and 3. (though with my legs a bit more stretched than that)

[–] KuroiKaze@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Like 17 we stay Shoryuken out here like all good Ansatsuken practitioners

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 2 points 9 hours ago

5, but with a body pillow and sometimes I roll over and switch sides.

[–] DundasStation@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 hours ago
