Every day: "New evidence found of crimes these rich people will never be prosecuted for."

[–] Karyoplasma@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Well, they will be prosecuted, or at least there is the chance that they will be. Trump was already convicted of sexual assault which in other states would have been a rape charge. The problem is that he, nor "high-profile people" will ever spend even a single day in the prison cell they belong into.

[–] etherphon@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Alright, face consequences would be more appropriate, but most people face consequences after they are prosecuted lol.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 10 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Trump was never convicted of sexual assault.

His 34 convictions are for campaign finance crimes.

He was found civilly liable for sexual assault, and was found as a matter of fact to have raped, but other than monitory fines in civil court, nothing legal can be done about the rapes.

[–] massacre@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

The term I most see thrown around is "adjudicated rapist" <-- IANAL, so not sure if that applies or not.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 2 points 22 hours ago

That is the correct term. It came from a civil case, where the burden of proof is lower, but also there's no criminal consequences.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 9 points 22 hours ago (3 children)

Prosecuted or not, there's no way to erase their blemish from human history.

Microsoft's own AI will tell you Melinda gates indeed divorced Bill over the Epstein Island situation, for example.

There's effectively no way for them to erase the narrative. The world has been run by a cabal of pedophile elites from at least 1990 through the 2020s. This fact will remain known into the end of human history.

The news, the search engines, the social media, the LLMs...they're all owned by a small club of billionaires.

We make all these references and parallels to the surveillance state of 1984 but we forget what the protagonist's occupation is. When we read it the concept seemed absurd. How do you edit history in-place? All those newspapers, the microfiche, the libraries...there's just no way.

Nowadays, though, it seems that it would be exceptionally easy, and likely already happening. Though not as in your face as directly editing newspapers, the algorithms are no doubt tainted, as is the narrative on the evening news.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago)

There are 1000s of open source LLMs on hugging face alone. You can download them for free and run them if your system can handle it.

Each LLM is a compressed artifact of all of human history. There is absolutely no way to control a narrative anymore. History can no longer be rewritten by the powerful.

Ask grok what it thinks of Elon musk.

[–] etherphon@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago

What a wild time to be alive.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 0 points 5 hours ago

Ugh I'm so sick of reading "history will judge them!" history doesn't give a shit and it's not justice in any way and all it does is placate people into thinking "at least it's some kind of punishment"

When it's not it punishment at all, like it literally doesn't matter.

[–] TheHighRoad@lemmy.world 36 points 1 day ago

It's way past time for these assholes to sleep in the bed of torches and pitchforks they have made.

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

For scale, that bowl is the diameter of a regular condom.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Which is ironic because he's mushroom sized.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

I'm sure Bubba is talking about his mouth.

[–] bcgm3@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

Imagine being able to maintain an erection while looking at that illustration.

[–] otacon239@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (3 children)

What I keep wondering is who is taking the pics. Who just takes random pics of two people talking in a room during a conversation that is supposed to be ultra-private/exclusive? Is it just for blackmail? If so, it’s not working well enough.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago

These pictures all came from Epstein's estate. I think you have hit the nail on the head, though. He would hold parties on his private island, have his own photographers there taking pictures, and then hold the pictures in case they became useful collateral at some point.

It worked well for Epstein, until it didn't.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 15 points 1 day ago (3 children)

The entire operation was a honey pot operation for Mossad and (probably) the KGB. The point was to get compromising information on rich and powerful men so that it could later be used as leverage for the interests of the sponsors.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hard to even imagine how many choices have been influenced by this.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 4 points 23 hours ago

Might explain why two backwater countries are somehow in charge of the largest economy and military on earth.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 4 points 23 hours ago

Epstein was Mossad, Trump ran an identical underage model trafficking ring that was linked to the KGB.

They weren't business partners, but instead friendly competitors with overlap, particularly the guy who secured the fake visas that the girls were in the US under. Paolo Zampolli, former owner of ID models, The Trump Director of international development, and currently appointed to the UN by Trump.

[–] zjti8eit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

I never heard this Mossad claim before. Where did you learn that?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago

It was a massive blackmail operation on top of the other shit.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

For the record, fuck Clinton! Release the files!

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Unfortunately, the others will get a mulligan.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The thing I'm concerned about is one of the photos they've released of Prince Andrew talking to Bill Gates.

The image is a cropped one that was taken at a Commonwealth event by Press Photographer in 2018.....when Epstein was in prison.

There's no doubting that Andrew is a nonce, but the Democrats are going to lose all credibility if they aren't doing due diligence before they release pictures.

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Edit: Apparently it helps to read the full comment and not let your ADHD brain skip the middle part thst gives all of the relevant context. Shit...

How about we throw all of these fucks in prison regardless of political party? Why are you trying to muddy this with politics? I wouldn't care if it was Trump or if it was Bert and Ernie, anyone involved should be prosecuted.

Oh no! Bill Gates, another asshole billionaire is in the files? Throw him in the same dark hole as the rest of them.

Bill Clinton? Yeah, throw him in, too.

Hillary was aware and said nothing? Prison.

Barack Obama had evidence of ongoing abuse and did nothing? Believe it or not, prison.

Bernie Sanders was on the island? Yeah, prison for him, too.

Fuck all of them and fuck politicizing this issue. Anyone involved should be prosecuted.

So far it does seem to be mostly republicans but I don't expect it will remain that way. If it does, I'll be skeptical that we're getting the whole truth.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What the fuck are you even on about?

The photo has been doctored, the original from which its taken has absolutely nothing to do with Epstein and was taken during an event held in the UK.

The original has the King of England in frame and was taken by a press photographer during an international event. Not by some random guy at a grubby epstein island event.

I agree, every single person who was involved with illegal activity with Epstein should be rotting in prison, regardless of who they are.

But showing edited images isn't going to get us there and simply casts doubt on everything else.

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I'm talking about... Shit... I read two thirds of your comment and my ADHD brain skipped the middle part. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

Shit... Sorry, without the middle context your comment made it sound like you wanted democrats to cover up inclusion of democrats in the files.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 16 points 1 day ago

Bless you, least you came back and said so. This place is much better than Reddit.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Photos of Trump and Bubba were released? Source? I gotta see this.

[–] hardcoreufo@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

I don't want to see it, the thought of it is vomit inducing, but I want it to be out there.

[–] Gork@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 day ago

I'M HUUUUGE!

[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think I can speak for everyone…. Fuck every single one of them and put them all in federal rape me in the ass prison.

[–] zjti8eit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 22 hours ago (1 children)
[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 1 points 21 hours ago

Fine. Federal pound me in the ass prison.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

It's going to be ALL high profile predators.

That's the point of a sex trafficking ring that caters to powerful people.
