Yep. In the same way this dumbass has appropriated the term "fake news" - which was and is a real term outside the Faux Cinematic Universe, but when you hear someone from that world of idiots using the term "fake news" it can be interpreted as "people reporting facts that are inconvenient for me".

We question our politicians (here in Australia) often enough on this sort of thing in election years that some (not all) actually pay enough attention to cost-of-living stuff to be in the right ballpark.
