I think Trump shouldn't have a fucking say what is or isn't professional. He can fuck off.

Someone has to make the determination, and unless Congress specifies it legislatively, it's gonna be up to the Executive Branch.
"Someone has to make the determination"
Yea the student who decides how they want to begin their professional career makes that determination, not the president or "free" market.
The Education Department is defining the following fields as professional programs: pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, chiropractic, law, medicine, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatry and theology.
Left out are nursing, physical therapy, dental hygiene, occupational therapy and social work as well as fields outside of health care such as architecture, education and accounting.
theology needs the professional level of student loans, but not nursing?
Chiropractic scam artists are professionals, but physical therapists aren't.
Pretty sure NASA is going to be replaced with Astrology and Tarot readings next.
That is the fucking point. Just like look at the CDC and FDA.
Their goal was to make science illegitimate. We won't be able to trust a single thing that comes out of the US government for years if not decades.
They are trying to make chiropractor and physical therapist the same. By bringing chiropractors up while pushing physical therapy down. For the next 10 years you'll need to ask yourself: did your physical therapist get their degree from a mini mall or from an actual college?
We can resist all we want but we're reaching a point that no matter what we do, the system is fucked. The only way to fix it will be to completely dismantle it and start from scratch, which, again will make the alt right win. Because that was their goal.
I'd be livid if I wasn't so damn impressed that Project 2025 authors figured out how to hack our government.
which, again will make the alt right win. Because that was their goal.
I imagine the Union thought the same way sometimes.
"These dumb bastards, FINE, maybe let 'em leave!"
"But that's those racist jackasses' win condition."
"ARGH!"
Tarot readings
Reading is too nerdy, "telling" it will be.
“LOL, those ignorant, uneducated conservatives,” say the liberals who are being strategically outmaneuvered literally every day.
Another thread said that 99% of these professions are 50%+ female...so...that.
Some of the ones that get to stay professional are also majority female, so there's something else going on too, but I'm sure sexism is also hugely involved.
Like, a sensible list for higher loan thresholds would be how genuinely expensive it is to train someone in it. Like, how much the gear - books, equipment, normal trainer salaries, etc - cost. And nursing would have to be high in that regard. If they aren't using more objective measures because this is a vibes based government, bias that treats women's jobs as less valuable seems like a likely reason for the change.
And chiropractic, which isn't based in medicinal science but is basically reflexology for the spine.
This really is the dumbest possible timeline.
Anything woman dominated means Trump's ego takes a hit
I hope Trump's nurses see and understand this.
