I'm convinced that the users online that are now accepting of homosexual activities because of Bubbagate are actually bots that are now confused between protecting his image and keeping his base satisfied.

Aren't these the people who want to go back to the "good old days", when the gays were beaten? As a bi guy, I'm all for some "male bonding time", but it's just the classic case of "conservatism only stands for two things yadda yadda yadda". (Fascism is just conservatism with all masks off, especially current day fascism.)
many of them would absolutely not stop at having gay people beaten. many of them would 100% not be opposed to hunting gay people for sport.
these people are honestly much, much more sick and sadistic than most people realize. they just smile and appear relatively normal in public.
