More than 7 in 10 Americans say current economic conditions in the country are "poor" or "very poor in a new CNN/SSRS poll.

Donald Trump's approval rating dropped to one the lowest levels seen during his second term in a new poll from CNN/SSRS.

In the survey released Nov. 3, the president had a 37% approval rating. It's the lowest rating of his second term seen in CNN polling and stands just one point higher than the 36% approval rating Trump had at this point in his first presidential term.

The president's 63% disapproval rating in the poll is also a noteworthy change to numbers stretching back to January 2025. It's numerically the highest disapproval of either term throughout CNN polling, standing one point above Trump's previous all-time high of 62% when he was leaving office in January 2021.

None of this shit matters and it's reported every fucking week. Every week since 2016 I've been hearing about how awful Trump is polling. Shut the fuck up, for the love of god.

Poll the billionaires. That's his real constituency. If they like him, he stays.

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

It does matter a little bit if you remember that a whole lot of people are like sheep. If some belief is popular, then they're much more likely to believe it themselves.

No, haven't you heard? This time the poll numbers are DISASTROUS!!!!

The only poll that matters is the election

[–] greasewizard@slrpnk.net 0 points 1 day ago

I've never once been asked any of these questions either? who the fuck are they polling anyway?

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

Yet at least 2/3 of those who blame Trump will continue to vote for Republicans that enable him.

Unlike a most presidents where economic changes are often not the direct result of their policies, such as oil costs fluctuations caused by OPEC decisions, today's economic disaster is almost entirely caused by his random tariffs and other meddling in international trade. I'm disappointed that 37% still can't understand the blindingly obvious, but at least more people are catching on.

Yep. Just a year ago, we had an economy that was the envy of the world.

This is ALL Donbald and his idiocy and his dumbfuck supporters.

[–] splount@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

So the base still thinks he's great. Wake me when THAT number changes.

Fucks sake, like he gives a shit.

He's in power, and he will be for the rest of his life. If the obese imbecile is still alive at the next election AND the dumb-ocrats manage to not fuck it up and win it then, guess what, this time he won't leave at all. Last time there were people who wouldn't break the law to keep him in power, but this time his enablers have learnt from it.
These polls do fuck all. The only way you're going to get rid of him is through physical force. Face it, you're fucked.

[–] Sosay15@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Bingo. You are 💯 percent correct. Who the fuck cares about his poll numbers. Doesn't mean shit.

[–] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

He’s already the most disliked president in American History which is saying something considering Andrew Jackson exists. I don’t think a “dip” in approval matters at this point.

[–] JaymesRS@piefed.world 6 points 1 day ago

We got’em this time….

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

We need 80+% and we need it now.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Dip? His "approval" ratings should fall off a cliff.

It's hard to believe that a guy who does normal looking fist pumps, with a normally closed fist, would be inept at something.
