if they change your job or pay that’s technically them firing you and offering a new job… you can refuse to accept it and collect unemployment….
btw each job has to pay their own unemployment insurance so if people make unemployment claims it increases their premiums so they hate it when you do that.

9. No posting links to Twitter/X or Meta owned properties
Social Media products such as Twitter/X and Meta Properties (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Threads) are known low quality information sources - they actively spread misinformation without sufficient moderation, hate speech. You are not encouraged to do so, but you may post screenshots from these sites IF THE INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE ON ANOTHER VALID PLATFORM. Screenshots must include info to support a relevant conversation within this community and must show a VISIBLE time/date stamp for posterity. If you are caught manipulating content of a screenshot, your post will be removed and you will receive an indefinite ban from this community at the discretion of the moderator(s)

The success of this may be very dependent on local employment regulations, but most employment lawyers will consult for free and many will take cases on contingency.
Also, keep in mind that ending your relationship with your current employer may force you to move to find a new job.
all states follow federal standards for things like unemployment due to no fault of your own.
if your employer changes the terms of the job you accepted, you are under no obligation to accept the new job.
it’s really not that complicated… the employer might contest your unemployment claim, and then you have to go the court… which takes about an hour after a month wait….
my friend did it and the trial was very short and the judge was very direct and plain.
Source?
my source was i watched my friend go to court because her job disputed her unemployment and the judge explained it.
she was a teacher at a private school, during the summer they tried to make her a group babysitter for less money… yada yada yada, they had to pay.
the judge explained if they change your pay, hours, or position you are effectively fired from one job and offered a new one… if you don’t want to accept it you can claim unemployment
State or Federal court?
This may only apply where you live.
unemployment guidelines are federal but state implemented
That's when they cook up some bullshit to fire you and now it's your red bag is being divided between everyone who's left.
The whole system is the problem because it's designed by the ruling class for the ruling class.
that’s why you file for unemployment and don’t start a whole thing with your employer.
there are also a lot of mutual aid groups who will help you fight and shame a company that screws you over.
you’re correct about the system but that doesn’t mean you don’t have labor rights, a system to protect them, and power to fight back.
also, join the IWW
This reminds me of a time when I was working part time for a small business while I was in high school. The owner told me that an adult employee named Gary wasn't going to be working there after that day. So a few hours later when I saw Gary, I told him that I was sorry to hear that he was leaving, and he had no idea what I was talking about. The owner hadn't fired him yet. Talk about awkward.
(It turned out that Gary had been stealing business from that place and doing it on his own, despite not holding the required engineering licenses to actually do the work, so his firing was pretty inevitable.)
The joke is that Alice and Evan like to keep making management steal their surplus of value, so they’ll continue being robbed for 115 more years.
