When I was at uni (UK) we would never put our names on assignments. Everything was done by student number (I think the official term was something like "matriculation ID").
i.e. in this instance the professor wouldn't know whose paper this was

So every student becomes Student What's Their Nuts
When discussing their students with faculty, would professors would call them deez nuts?
diz nuts, dat nuts, deez nuts, doze nuts over dere
If I were the prof, I’d own it and every class there after I would have “Professor whats his n*ts” (because somebody would get offended) on the board. I wouldn’t call the student out at all. And I wouldn’t say anything about it.
We had to do a 20 page research paper in 8th grade English once (wtf), and one of my friends needed to print it out using the school computer. So he gives the floppy disk to our teacher, and the file was called "I despise you Ms [teacher].doc" loll she embarrassed him so much for that.
Oh, man.
I'd be mortified.
The worst I ever did was handing in a paper with a soda stain on it because I had a bottle crack in my bag and didn't have time to reprint it before class.
