House Speaker Mike Johnson is apparently tired, despite doing little this month during the government shutdown.

Johnson said at a press conference Tuesday that people have been telling him, “You look so tired on TV.”

“I am so tired, because we’re not sleeping a lot. We’re working overtime,” Johnson said, adding that House committees are still conferencing to put together legislation to be ready to go as soon as the House is back in session.

Thought and prayer, Mike. One of each.

🎶 Well a person can work up a mean mean thirst / after a hard day of nothin' much at all - The Replacements

The musical notes should have tipped me off but I was trying to figure out who would have said this in the movie "The Replacements."

I was like, definitely not Keanu Reeves Character, my best guess was Michael Taliferro.

Off topic, but that is one of my all time favorite, guilty pleasure movies. If I see it on, I will stop and watch it whether it’s in the first 15 minutes, the last 15, or anywhere in the middle. And its (very) loosely based on a true story - the Washington Reskins beating the Dallas Cowboys in the ‘87 strike season. Just like in the movie, all the Cowboys had crossed the picket lines and were playing, and Joe Gibbs beat them with a team of mostly “scabs”. When people say that coaching doesn’t matter, you can point to this one game.

Aww, poor baby Maga Mike doesn't want to be Sleepy Mike anymore. He's just so tired from being Mad Mike, life really isn't fair.

Kill yourself, Johnson.

Little Mikey wants to be a "happy warrior" and goshdarnitanyways, those rude Democrats are just being so MEAN by not going along with little Mikey and Toadstool's plan to rip away health care from millions.

Republicans have always been monsters, but I'm not sure that in my lifetime, I've seen them working so hard to actively take away something from millions. Sure, they always work to deny things that will help millions, but to my knowledge, they are poised to take away something from millions directly. And this shutdown of theirs is about to take away food, too, at least in the short (?) term.

I am not surprised - these are the people that were celebrating, with beer, in the Rose Garden back in 2017, when they were about to steal away healthcare from millions back under Taco 1.0. Until McCain's thumbs ruined it all for them. But I'm just not sure what to expect to happen if this were to actually happen.

Thinking up lies can wear a body down. The stress must be as incredible as his dishonesty.
