You can do that? Stop playing a game when you're not having fun anymore?

[–] Hubi@feddit.org 54 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Don't let War Thunder players hear about this

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

WoW players in shambles

[–] monkeyman512@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

I'm pretty sure they just play the game so the have something to do between arguments about military secrets on the forums.

[–] 474D@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Or Destiny players

[–] tdawg@lemmy.world 35 points 1 month ago

I can highly recommend it

Quitting Dota 10 years ago was the best gaming decision I ever made. I still love the game but playing it made me nothing but miserable.

[–] simple@piefed.social 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

we'll be miserable playing deadlock soon enough

I was into it for like 4 straight months last year but fell off over Christmas and never really picked it back up. If I take a break from something for whatever reason I tend to lose all interest in it and more or less forget it exists. Just ADHD things I guess.

I kind of regret losing momentum as I feel like I was getting better at it, but at the same time it might be for the best. One of the other reasons for quitting Dota was to actually get to experience and finish some quality single player games. Last fall Deadlock was taking all my time.

Also I'm not getting younger am I, won't keep up with the teens forever in a fast game like Deadlock.

Rumors are she took an arrow to the knee.

Sounds like she's doing what every bottom feeding streamer can't do.

Quitting cuz it isn't fun anymore.

Good for her.

Or most employed people

I thought she did that a year or so ago? Regardless, as much as I like Skyrim there isn't infinite content. Probably isn't worth the stress

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Yeah, it's in the article.

The feedback Curry gets on her videos isn't quite the dialogue she's looking for

Aaaaaand this here is why we can't have nice things

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Can't some rapper teach her to ignore the haters?

[–] Gloomy@mander.xyz 19 points 1 month ago

From what i understand in the article, it's not haters she has a problem with.

It seems that her strem has to many kids as followrs and she doesn't feel she can have meningfull conversations with them. At least thats how i read it.

[–] 58008@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

She's said this every year for the last 3 years at least 😆

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 1 month ago (3 children)

She'll get back on that horse when ES6 drops

[–] Infernal_pizza@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 points 1 month ago (2 children)

She'll be over 100 by then!

It's not called whippersnapper scrolls.

She'll be in it, whenever it drops.

Saddle sold separately for just $5.99 a month plus a one-time fee of $15.99 + tax, processing, and S&H.

"I have a few older regular viewers", Curry said, "but most of them seem to be very young kids, children, and I'm not getting any feedback from them on the videos. All I get is 'Hi grandma, I love you grandma'. That isn't what I was spending my time on making and uploading videos for."

What did she expect? I mean this question seriously and in no way being disrespectful. Maybe she should start a community forum if she really wants to deep discussions about the game, her gameplay and herself. No one can expect that from YouTube comments. Or she could switch to another game, say Breath of the Wild. It would give her a fresh start and this can be exciting for her and her fans too.

I wish her good luck with whatever she does next. It's amazing that such a old person enjoys videogames and even gets fame of it.
