I don't think Microsoft really did anything extra, I think the media just got trended real hard.

I had known about Microsoft's work on this topological chip for at least a year before the recent rage about it thanks to a youtube channel called domain of science who went over what was happening here, he is a quantum hardware developer first but stopped to make this YouTube channel which creates maps of various fields of science, its a very good channel highly reccomend it!

If Microsoft really lied.. Then there is zero trust left.. The trust in Microsoft was already at the bottom on my end. I'm not using any Microsoft product for example, but this new quantum chip lie would really be the bottom of the bottom for me.
