Sure, but it has a completely different historical context before Mussolini created the Italian fascist party. It was even used by left wing groups as a symbol of solidarity.

My fellow Democrats mostly want us all disarmed. That needs to change.
As a leftist who is well armed the democrats dont realize that violence is the inevitable outcome. Its like they want us unarmed so they can claim the moral high ground.

The French made it work during occupation, I see no reason that disarmament should be anything more than an inconvenience if it gets to that point.
