It's funny to read yesterday's headline, aka this quote, and then read today's headline. Everyone is going to boo him tomorrow, please don't talk about it. He was in fact boo'ed, let's talk about it.
I guess funny is the wrong word. Insanity?

It's just "booed". Really-really.
That's good to know. It just looked so weird. I knew what I wrote was also weird, but it felt less weird.
Basically apostrophes are never used to separate a word from a normal suffix in this kind of novel or unusual construction. Pretty much just use apostrophes for contractions and (most) possessives. Example: 90s, not 90's.

Edit: In English, for English words. Some languages, either those normally rendered in Latin script* or transliterated into it**, make use of apostrophes either to modify an adjacent phoneme or to indicate particular sounds or a glottal stop.
* English-like letters and punctuation
** Like Japanese written as if it were English, for example "Ohayo gozaimasu" which is written in hiragana as おはようございま.

Edit2: Others point out (correctly) that referencing the 1990s as a decade would be properly written as '90s, which is still a use of an apostrophe for a contraction.
And, actually, I believe it’s ‘90s! So there is one, it’s right in front.

Booing is pretty tame and lame, honestly.
Tame but effective, imagine if everywhere you went and everything you did there was a crowd booing you.
I'd much rather it be a giant crowding shouting "child rapist" while throwing anything they could get their hands on at him.
while more impactful, that takes more prep time and work. there is a magic to booing. it is uncontrollable, unstoppable, and requires no thought. it gives everyone a free space in which to enter into a grand vocalization of "we stand for what you do not." there is no real way to boo performatively. there is too little room for interpretation within the reverberations of the crowd.
if you do not like booing the 47th president of the united states, i recommend digging into what the problem with the act is, and consider that there's many routes to resistance. for me, i don't like booing the president because the president is meant to be a spectacle. it doesn't matter if you love or hate him. it matters that you feel strongly. the argument i can hear is that you want to increase another kind of spectacle to give the people something to engage in. me, i want to remove him from all spectacle he engages in from my life and focus on community engagement. there is likely valor to both.
but please. consider that better than throwing things at him, giving him the spectacle he thrives in, might be when he appears at an event you are at, that means you don't care about the org that let him in in the first place anymore. get up out of your seat, and make your way to the exit, never to return again.

A few boos from folks in the cheap seats seems like a small price to pay when you can feast on the townsfolk every night with abandon.
Yet basically all dictators have been harsh on even the lightest of protests, since if you allow it, the protests will grow until you can't deal with it.
Public protests like these are highly useful to fight against Mr. Trump.
Just look how effective calling them weird was.
Oh yeah, keep attacking their masculinity, that is one of their biggest weakpoints.
I don't think the 'weird' thing was really about masculinity. Conservatives value conformity, which is why they mock expressiveness like dyed hair; they think they are the default, and so being called weird and the insult sticking because they are fucking weird really hits them where it hurts
