Yeah, ever since he was nominated I've wanted him to resign. He's perhaps the worst possibly choice for head of HHS. Then again, many (most? all?) of the current cabinet positions are the worst possible choices. But I guess that's to be expected when we have perhaps the worst possible President.

joseph kennedy was working with venezuela to provide affordable oil to heat northeastern homes; rfk jr was killing people in samoa.

My MAGA family members (all of them) absolutely love RFK Jr. To some serious second only to Trump levels. All of them think he is doing all this wonderful stuff with getting rid of vaccines and 'chemicals in food'.

I can't imagine what having a whole family of MAGA lovers is like. I think I would go insane.

I live in a 70%+ Trump part of the South too, it's everywhere. Flags, signs, billboards, you name it.

I think I would go insane.

That's the neat thing. By getting insane you'd be on par with your family again.

Tbf him gunning for the dogshit additives in US food is at least one positive.

[–] ansiz@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

It will never happen, sure he's made some token changes and talks a lot about seed oil but is wrapped up getting rid of vaccines. At best he'll try to make raw milk legal and served in schools before wearing out his welcome. There's not much he can do working for the junk food President

Boils my blood to hear that, it really does.

Those comments are harrowing.

He is saying this on Twitter, it’s like going into a Nazi bar and saying that non-whites are people too.

I especially like the inference that pharmaceutical companies do immoral greedy shit sometimes so that somehow makes it a good thing that the HHS Secretary is a fucking moron.

I don't understand. If he doesn't want Science used to establish health policies, what IS the plan? Hire people to scour Facebook and other social media to come up with "cures?"

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Their plan doesn't make sense because you think that their goals are the same as yours.
Have you ever read the Bible? Or even about the bible? This shit is seriously insane. You should read about the book of Job. God makes a bet with Satan that Job is just as awesome as God has been bragging about and as part of the bet Satan gets to spend an insane amount of time and effort murdering Job's family and servants, destroying all his shit, torturing him and generally fucking him up for shits and giggles. God lets Satan absolutely go to town on his "favorite of all time", not to force Satan to change his ways or reform in any way, but just for a "I told you so".
Now imagine you get force fed this shit every Sunday, at least every Sunday, probably even nightly. You get it drilled into you this is not only 100% absolute truth, but also the book on which you are supposed to base our every thought and action in your life.
People like RFK aren't looking to save lives, or cure illness, they are looking to make people suffer and die.
And then you have the rest of them that are looking to make money off of it.

Yeah I read a bit of it. That's when I decided I am an atheist.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm certain one more media post demanding his resignation will get the job done

Indeed!
He's teetering on the verge! Sleepless, restless nights!

[–] Rcklsabndn@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

I'm guessing he went all in investing in a polio crutch company and is frothing at the idea of ROI.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He'd just be replaced by any other similar lunatic, of which there's an endless supply.
He's not the source of the problem.

Sure, but sending a message that this is not acceptable is important.
Your man in charge of United Health was a symptom, but the message got received loud and clear.
Sure your insurance companies didn't react the way the message sender wanted. But they heard.
Repeat the message while the symptoms persist.
