/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Fucking Nick Locarno. You let that fucking guy out of prison to attend one holophoto shoot and what does he do? Fucking steal shit. Can't take that guy anywhere.

God I love this, from the weirdness of carrying a printer while smiling - nobody ever smiles in vicinity of a printer - and the SW cast looking like a family photo.

He’s definitely stealing that printer on his way out the door.

He'll transport it in his 1920ies red pickup truck

Voyager’s Native American cultural advisor’s last act was to pick that sweater for Beltran.

Looks like Roxanne is doing the captain morgan power stance at first glance.

Lol, ikr?
It got me twice (when I initially found the pic & then again when I posted it).

The differences in fashion trends between when Voyager premiered (beginning of 1995) and when Seven was introduced (end of 1997) is pretty wild.

The early 1990s and the late 1990s feel like two different decades.

Garrett Wang wins that contest alone, with those glasses and the gelled hair.

[–] quediuspayu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 2 months ago (2 children)

And whatever that shirt is made of.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

He stole that outfit from the set of The Matrix

I vaguely remember those days .... $2,000 for a 200Mhz CPU, 16MB RAM and a 2Gig hard drive!!!!!!

That system is not even anywhere close to the most basic dirt cheap smart phone you could buy today for $100

I remember my first full system I bought in 1999 was $1,500 CAD and it was just slightly faster than 200Mhz CPU ... and I was proud to have found a great deal on a 4Gig HDD

Oof, I remember reading that exact Parade in 1997.

It was cringe then. It's possibly slightly less cringe now because of the time capsule 90's-ness.

Casual BDSM with a router. XD

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@thelemmy.club 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Torres casually eating a mouse.

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

She's clearly speaking to the computer.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That is clearly Kodak's new Snapshot Photo Scanner. And WTF is a "router?" It's 1997; everybody plugs phone lines straight into the backs of their PCs!

Tom Paris looking like he's about to beat the absolute fuck outta that printer for giving him a PC load letter error.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Harry kim alone wins everything

[–] grue@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

I want to see Garrett Wang cosplay as himself from this article at Dragon Con in 2027.

[–] Fridayj@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why is Ethan Phillips positioned like he doesn’t want to be in the shots? All the way in the back in one, then the back of his head, then behind a bar/pole?

[–] FrChazzz@lemmus.org 13 points 2 months ago

For a split second I legit thought George Costanza had snuck onto the shoot lol

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Kes did not want to be there

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Harry couldn’t even be trusted to hold electronics. Have some magnetic tapes, ensign.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

First of all LOL, but also those were CD-ROMs.

Please tag this as a spoiler, I've never seen the doctor be so sexy before.

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 months ago

HP DeskJet printers. Those things were everywhere

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Paris looks like he just got caught stealing a printer, while neelix is a little too comfortable using that camera if you get what I mean...not to mention that kes is only 8... 😒

EDIT: The computer has “Where No Man Has Gobe Before” playing. Or at least a screenshot.

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 months ago
