If there is no punishment for breaking the law, it was never law to begin with.

I'd say he used an army to illegally occupy land, while threatening violence against millions of unarmed citizen, in an attempt to rob millions of people from constitutionally secured rights.

So death penalty?

I'm sure no one else could do all that without facing about 1000 years in prison, or being immediately shot by law enforcement.

I don't think your right, yes there are some that agree with what's happening but large majority doesnt want to do this shit. I have alot of friends who are in military reserve and they hate the concept of being deployed on US soil. To simply put it in a quote from a close friend "20 years ago the USA deployed troops to foreign country's to protect our country, now the current administration says were the bad guys and want to deploy here"

I think saying "there all complicit" is a vast over exaggeration. A vast amount of people feel distain for that within the military.

I mean, sure, what are they doing with that disdain?

What they can, i think you dont consider defying orders means court Marshal and prison at worst and at best, dishonorable discharge. Many people who are in the military are there for retirement and benefits. You get dishonorably discharged you loose it all.

You can fight orders legally, via the GI bill but the average joe doesn't have that kinda money or a backup plan if shit hits the fan.

Yes, so what are they doing? Nazi soldiers had a lot more to lose than retirement benefits.
