This probably tracks to the fact that we value peace highly,so we seek to interrupt or diminish conflict whenever possible because it competes with our peace-ethos.

However, we find ourselves in the age of conflict, where everything we read smacks of it.

The streets are filled with henchmen, and we are left scratching our heads wondering how it will get worse.

It might behoove those looking for clarity in these times to reflect on the ethos of the man himself: John Brown.

Abolitionist to the core, he despised slavery and went to great lengths to uproot it, leading slave revolts even to his end. His zeal is attributed as the spark that united the north to stamp out the whip-wielders who got wealthy from keeping people as pets.

And guess what? We won, at great cost. Worth it? Yeah. Id argue it was.

Those who will flee in the coming times, I get it. You have kids, maybe youre overwhelmed, maybe you have connections elsewhere.

The rest? Lets fuck some facists up.

Their first mistake is wearing the thinnest skin imaginable, becoming incensed and embarrassed at mockery. Note that Trump is attributed to getting into politics because the black president mocked him publicly. Gavins dunking on him and they hate it. They pulled strings to get Colbert off air.

Invade their space. Show them their weirdness for what it is: pathetic.

Stay away from gatherings that say “look at me look how moral i am look how diverse and tolerant we are”. Go to the ones that say “rally round your family pocket full of shells”. “Trump touches kids”.

The time is for assertion, so get used to conflict.
