Lab-grown diamonds, created in plasma reactors, have badly damaged the natural diamond market

Good. Diamonds are worthless. They should cost as much as glass. Their only real use is in industrial equipment.

Her partner, and presumably prospective husband, was supportive of the project.

I bet he was. He just saved thousands of dollars.

I really want to go there with the wife. But planing a week long vacation isn't in the cards, at least for now.

Went with the gang for a weekend trip, honestly wasn’t worth it.

Several hundred to over a thousand people go a day, and there’s maybe one diamond found.

They also double charge you if you want to get in their pool, which is obscene given how fucking hot it gets.

You basically spend all day digging around in the heat and pay $25 each for the privilege. Go to a water park or something.

I stopped here last year while road tripping. I was honestly surprised at how many people were there on a weekday in April. It was still hot as balls then too. I ended up mostly sifting at the water troughs because they are under roofs. I think someone did find a diamond that day, but I only came away with about a quart of interesting rocks for my rock tumbler.

If you go, go with someone who would be really into it as well. I dragged my hubby there and he was miserable but tolerated it for a while for my sake.

Point taken. Is there an off season?

Im kinda a rock fan. Not really sure what most of them are ,but I think they are cool looking. I look for rocks most days, no matter where I am.

Would feel like a shame not to try at least once. My wife wishes I would stop bringing them home.
