Government and Big Tech looking for the worst candidate possible to appoint to an extremely important position

collapsed inline media

There's no way that's his real, Christian name.

That's the most non-binary bigot I've ever seen.

$10 his legal name is Robin and he's still deeply ashamed of briefly exploring his homosexuality as a teen. And he 100% has a briefcase full of skirts and stockings.

They look entirely queer, and Robby, Robin, Rob or Ruby has always been gender neutral/multiversive in my community.

[–] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The last name doesn't help his case either lol

[–] Regna@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Hey, stop gendertyping. With that surname, it’s surely ”their”, not ”his”.

Lmao. I clicked on this post to find out who's this new Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Who says you have to be a christian to be a hate-monger?

Facebook: at least we didn’t go with our first choice, David Duke.

Give it a year at max. I have a feeling that by the end of this year, a lot of GOP members will publicly call black people "N****rs" while shaming those who don't, and a PragerU video titled "You're just a N****r, deal with it" featuring Matt Walsh will drop onto YouTube. Any backlash will be deboosted by most social media, which also stop moderating the word all across the globe.

It's already here. I know someone who drank the Flavor-Aid and within the past year he's starting using the T-slur and blamed Somalis when I offhandedly asked why traffic was so bad in a certain part of town (while there is a high Somali population here, the traffic problem is 100% poor city planning).

So fucking weird hearing that come out of the mouth of the Commie artist I used to go to punk shows with.

The anti-woke campaigner brought legal action against Meta – owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – after the company’s artificial intelligence chatbot falsely stated he took part in the riot at the US Capitol on 6 January, 2021, seeking $5 million in damages.

As part of the settlement, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, Starbuck will advise Meta on how to prevent political bias in its AI.

What the actual...? I've never heard that someone gets hired as part of a settlement where both parties were opponents.

Also, you can make an LLM say anything you want it to say. I didn’t realize I could be suing tech companies over it.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Normally I’d say they agreed to the advisory role as a simple get out of lawsuit play. They have to hear him, but not actually act on what he says.

But looking at where we are in 2025, they will likely do everything he says.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 22 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Well, who else knows more about bias?

[–] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 week ago

“No, no, NO! The chatbot needs a more comprehensive lexicon of slurs! Did you feed it the entirety of stand up comedy by white men from 1960-1988 like I told you to?”

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 1 week ago

There it is! I knew there had to be a reason.

Man that is going to make giving up these fascist platforms so much harder.

Is that (person in photo) a guy or a girl?

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 1 points 1 week ago

Always wondered what happened to this guy after he gave up on stealing Pee Wee Herman's bicycle.
