The courts need to reassert their power before they lose it. The deployment was a political stunt that’s wildly unpopular this time. If they let him get away with it, it will escalate and be harder and harder to stop.

Can the president deploy the military against the people? No. It isn’t a hard question.

Just stop contributing state money for the National Guard, then, and make your own. Why would you fund a force that can be called up against you on the flimsiest of excuses? While you're at it, pull building permits and cut electric and power to federal sites involved in immigration shenanigans.
