They do if they think someone is impersonating a police officer and has a gun. They love to shoot at people, its like 45% of their job depending on the area. Seriously, this would work. Given that we have a case fresh in the minds of someone impersonating a police officer and assassination people, they'll take you seriously. Hell, tell the 911 operator that you're a republican and the police might even run some red lights to get there.

Edit: in all seriousness though. This is solid advice. Police dont like other people pretending to be them.

it's a matter of time until there's a trial regarding if shooting a masked unidentified person claiming to be ICE is self defense.

it'll be a watershed moment. because common sense dictates that yes, it is. but is we had common sense we wouldn't have masked state Gestapo disappearing people.

Except HSI and ICE don’t have badge numbers, so you’d say, “What’s your name and call sign?” The call sign is most commonly a letter followed by 3 digits. ex: A-123

Not accurate. If the goon squad is that close and questioning you or ordering you to do anything, you won't make it past the first sentence while they laugh and/or shoot.
