In the early 90s, we called Aeroflot Aeroflop because they kept falling out of the sky. I think it was 40+ incidents from 90 to 91.
That's before Boeing started implementing no-holds-barred kapitalism, in an attempt to race to the bottom.
Meanwhile in the states. My parents used to fly me alone when I was 12 on an airline nicknamed Scare-West.
