All 3 pillars of MAGA are pointing the finger at each other and it's hilarious

Would this technically be an American Standoff since Trump hates Mexico?

Like when Ted Cruz said that Trump "lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth".

Ted Cruz actually nailed down Trump's character better than any other politician.

Imagine spending $250m dollars to get deported. It would be awesome if he was sent back to South Africa.

[–] davidgro@lemmy.world 64 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's a funny way to spell El Salvador.

TBF, proportionally speaking, it's like me spending $20. I would not expect this amount to make a difference if it were me.

250M is nothing to this prick.

I'm fucking dying laughing at this shitshow from another country.

YOU COULDN'T FUCKING WRITE THIS SHIT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago (11 children)

They did. So we ignore the circus while they rob the treasury.

You could write that in a tv show and people would say it's funny but too far fetched. Look at american movies and tv shows. The preside t is a smart, grey haired dude who has everything under control. I wonder if there will ever be a movie with an obese president who can't read and shits his pants.

This is, without a doubt, the best idea Steve Bannon has ever had.

On one hand, this would be hilarious. On the other hand, the affirmation Trump would get out of exercising that kind of power over the richest man in history would be terrifying.

Am opportunity for Elon to use his money to do something really really really funny

Elon should just flee the country and then divulge how he and Donald fucked the election.

[–] propitiouspanda@lemmy.cafe 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They didn't have to 'fuck' any election.

Consumer culture fucked the working class by conditioning them to spend money in order to be happy. Now that they can't spend at the levels of their parents because of the growing disparity in wealth, they're apathetic and turn to demagogues.

Neo-liberals did their part by making sure any candidates that represent the working class are shuffled into political janitor closets.

As always, blame the people who voted for Hillary in the 2016 primary for why we now have 2 trump presidencies.

We don't want to solve these problems.

Mans a Canadian citizen, he could just go to Toronto and just spill all to the press and CSIS.

I have never agreed with Bannon in my life but I have to say he makes some good points here. Musk has been involved in a lot of lies, stock manipulations, insider trading, and clearly some criminal negligence at tesla. And he comes from a well known criminal family. Even Musk himself said this about his dad Eroll Musk,

"You have no idea about how bad. Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done," Elon said. "Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done … It's so terrible, you can't believe it."

So Elon is flat out admitting that his businesses sprang from criminal enterprise? When would he say he went legit and is he still connected to this worst criminals you can think of? Needs investigating. They should civil asset forfeiture his stuff while they look into it- thats what they would do to any of us.

A split between the regular fascists and neo-reactionaries could provide an opportunity to overthrow the Trump regime.

LMAO. This keeps getting better.

Deport Elon to El Salvador. Then let DOGE defund the prison program accidentally, because they don't understand why the El Salvadorian prison system is subsidized by the US.

[–] gamer@lemm.ee 24 points 21 hours ago (5 children)

An old-timey duel to the death would be the logical solution to this problem

Elon as the fall guy is hilarious. I guess that's the silver lining to these powerful people getting close to the orphan grinding machine.

[–] Absaroka@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Hopefully all those people who voted for Trump (because he's a 'leader') and Musk ('because he's a great business man') are starting to realize they cast their vote for a couple of petulant children who have acquired great wealth because their daddies gave them a few hundred million in starting money.

There isn't enough popcorn for this.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

He's absolutely going to try before this is all said and done. This is like two toddlers having a throwdown at daycare.

[–] MetalMachine@feddit.nl 19 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Here's why this isn't a good idea even if musk is terrible: it means trump can do it to everyone else
