I know the feeling these days... It feels almost impossible to stay afloat with any preexisting medical condition.
At this point, my instincts and the reptile part of the brain saying, "I grow weary of being, nice." There are no rewards for nice anymore, so time to bite.
I disagree. I think that may actually be the only way out of this mess. "Cooperation [being nice, forgiving, but not a pushover, and clear] pays even among rivals" (Veritasium - Prisoners Dilemma).
