I know what people might say "Not news worthy that Republicans support THEIR guy." But their whole brand and platform for the past 20+ years has been the constitution and a run away executive. Sure it was all disingenuous manipulations to court a specific type of voter and protect mega corps from regulations, but it seems the press is normalizing a double standard.

They don't think it's worth their time to go to each Representative and Senator and ask them how they can support an Executive that is running rough shot over the constitution, crossing into the Legislatures authority, and doing real harm to the country with his "emergency" trade tariff policies? Why is it not front page news that Republican Politicians are either all extraordinary bad faith hypocrites, or under some sort of dire threat?

Why is the press not asking the Republicans in Congress why they are taking no action to put a stop to things that they claimed they cared about, and on their face appear illegal? Their motivations and reasoning for doing nothing or even defending his actions IS NEWS WORTHY.

Why would corporate owned media do such a thing?

  1. Fear
  2. Complacency
  3. Cooperation

Probably one of the three for each individual outlet. Maybe a mixture for some.

The Fourth Estate stopped being a check on power and became a propaganda arm after the destruction of the Fairness Doctrine under the guise of free speech in 1987 under FCC Chairman Dennis R. Patrick.
