This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Pig Island, also known as Big Major Cay, is a small uninhabited island in the Exuma archipelago in the Bahamas. It is famous for its unusual inhabitants: a colony of swimming pigs.

These pigs, which have become a popular tourist attraction, live on the island and often swim in the crystal clear waters nearby, approaching boats in search of food.

It is unclear how the pigs arrived on the island. Some theories suggest they were taken by sailors who planned to return to cook them but never did, while others suggest the pigs swam to the island after a nearby shipwreck.

Another version indicates that the pigs were introduced as part of a tourism development plan.

Pig Island is only accessible by boat, and many tours offer excursions to see the pigs and swim with them.

The experience of interacting with these animals in such a picturesque environment has made the island one of the Bahamas' most unique and popular attractions.

Fun fact: the origin of the term “buccaneer” comes from hunters in the wilds of the Caribbean who caught and smoked wild pigs for a living.

It's less well known for how the pigs will bite the fuck out of you if you aren't careful.

Also, floating pig poo.

Would be nice to fast forward a couple million of years to see how they evolved.
