I would not describe Control as mostly somber.

I have complete faith in Remedy, both of the Alan Wakes and Control have been surprisingly funny and whimsical, often in unexpected ways. Quantum Break had less humour and was a bit more self serious, but Microsoft also had more control of that project.
COME JOIN THE THRESHOLD KIDS
Absolute best part of the game are all the live action films you find. Especially the puppets.
so how is it? i would say i hope it gets better, but "mixed" reviews at launch doesn't bode well for a game that depends entirely on lots of people playing
