Weed not actually being dangerous.. when you find that out it's like leaving the Matrix

I mean, I would have appreciated some information about weed influencing my body and brain development before I am ~25. Then I might have waited that time or smoked less. Now I can only imagine if I might have become less of a scatterbrain. Instead I was told that all drugs are bad and they will make me addicted and push me to drug-related crimes, which did not turn out believable enough.

Are you sure you're not a scatterbrain from undiagnosed ADHD that you've been self-medicating with the weed?

I definitely had/have undiagnosed something but I don't blame the drugs... those came after my lived experience being socially awkward, rocking to soothe myself and mostly daydreaming all day and forgetting homework existed. I can't imagine what my mother was thinking trying to comb out my rats nest hair in the morning. No wonder she had it cut really short.

regardless, that would not do anything for other people experiencing the general case

[–] Solumbran@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's not true though.

People really struggle understanding anything else than "it's horribly deadly" and "it's harmless".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_(drug)#Adverse_effects

Might be less bad than other drugs but it's not this magical thing that can never do anything wrong.

And that's without counting things like driving under the influence of it.
