Always cool to see companies opening up safety features to the benefit of everyone
I have some friends working on EV fire suppression at another company and they said it’s a cool idea, but in practice is difficult for firefighters to reach. Renault’s is specifically under the back seat, how easy is it going to be to open up a car, potentially move a seat, and connect a hose during a big battery fire?
I wonder if this might have been why they shared it. Sort of like "We've got an idea that we think is good, but it also clearly needs work"
Seriously, if its already on fire its not gonna be easy to reach
